Lowe’s commits $9M to support underserved students, build talent pipeline

Lowe’s Cos. Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is opening the door to higher education for underrepresented students — and building its own talent pipeline.

The Mooresville-based retailer will commit $9 million to eight higher-education institutions and scholarship programs to support those efforts.

That includes a $2.5 million grant to Queens University of Charlotte.

Another $1.5 million will go to North Carolina Central University to support the construction and completion of its business school.
